Late arrivals mean less time with a therapist as we cannot delay other appointments and clients. Late arrivals will only receive the balance of the session, but will still pay the full price. We recommend clients arrive 5-10 minutes before their session. Provided you are on time, your treatment starts when you are on the table. We allow consultation time for each treatment and do not arrange scheduling like the corner massage factory. If you have a 75 minute session, please allow at least 90 minutes in your schedule to avoid feeling rushed.
The therapist is not required to wait longer than 15 minutes for late arrivals who have not called ahead. Being more than 15 minutes late for an appointment without notification, warrants refusal of service and the therapist may consider the client a "no-show" for the appointment. Please be advised the following "no-show" policy will apply.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment. Chronic cancellation problems will require the client to pay in advance by credit card or PayPal for future appointments.
Payment and Other Policies
The most secure, fastest, easiest way to pay is via PayPal here on our website (see Services and Packages pages, click on the PayPal icon next to your desired service and complete your transaction. Bring a copy of your receipt to your appointment and present it to your therapist.) We also accept cash or checks (drivers license number required) at the beginning of the session in the clinic. Lake retreats require payment the month prior to scheduled date, and out-call payment required at the time of scheduling. Please do not process a PayPal transaction for a retreat until your date has been confirmed. Above cancellation policies apply, with the exception of lake retreats, which have a 2 week cancellation policy. No refunds will be given, however, credit may be applied to future services.
Gratuity is not included in your service price. Tipping is not required but your generosity is greatly appreciated. Fifteen to 20 percent of the regular service cost is the typical industry standard.
We provide professional bodywork and wellness consultation as part of the client's healing process. While we do not diagnose, our training and experience make us health care professionals and we will always treat clients with professionalism and respect. However, if either the therapist or the client feel uncomfortable in a session, either party may terminate the service immediately without consequence. As part of the therapist/client relationship, we encourage clients to speak with their therapist if they are uncomfortable with any techniques, draping or stretches performed during a service. We want you to benefit from and trust our time together. This is YOUR massage, and we are here to facilitate your healing process.
Outcall appointments and lake retreats are available only with a referral from an established client, or after three office sessions with the same therapist. A minimum of $50 (depending on travel distance), plus sessions fees will be incurred for outcall appointments.
Gift certificates are available for all services. They are non-refundable and should be presented at time of service. Our gift certificates DO NOT expire, (unless donated for fundraising purposes) however, no-showing on a certificate reservation will void the certificate. No exceptions.
Discounts and promotions cannot be combined unless otherwise stated. Gina Treuter offers an Industry discount to practitioners in alternative health or spa industry. Call or email for further details.
Returned checks will incur a $40 fee, and require advanced Credit Card or PayPal payments for future appointments. We rely on the mutual trust of our professional relationships and we greatly appreciate all business but cannot afford the liability of returned checks.
All clients will fill out a heath/personal history form before the first session- even if late. This information will be kept confidential but is required by law for health and safety purposes. The more we know about you, the better we can help you in your healing journey.
Draping is used for all sessions with the exception of those where the client is fully clothed, which includes craniosacral therapy, Zero Balancing. asian bodywork and reflexology. Otherwise, the client is encouraged to disrobe, only to their level of comfort. The therapist will step out of the room during this time to allow privacy for the client. For clients receiving sessions with oils or lotions, we encourage you to shower at home prior to your appointment. Also, please refrain from using body lotions, creams, toning products, or self tanners prior to your massage. Sometimes these items can hinder the effectiveness of the therapy. If in doubt about your treatment please ask during your initial phone conversation or send us an email prior to your appointment.
